WELCOME to LJM Music 

Hi! My name is Lisa and I have over 25 years of Piano experience and 13 years of teaching piano and theory.  Within those 13 years I graduated from Concordia College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree: Major in Music and Minor in Elementary Education.  Through my life I have had the opportunity to teach children in various settings such as nannying, Pre-Kindergarten classes, preschool music classes and more recently creating a musical component for a local preschool holiday concert. 

My piano program consists of many different methodologies as each student is very unique.  I use a variety of method books to create an individual program suited for each student based on their skills and their learning styles.  I like to create a routine within the lesson that can be easily followed between lessons.  Each lesson has practical and theory components.  Basic theory is taught throughout the year.  Advanced RCM Theory (Preliminary Rudiments, Advanced 1 & Advanced 2) and RCM Piano (Grade 1-5) are also available. 

My preschool program is a fun filled way for your preschooler (3-5 year old) to discover music and education.  We explore music through singing, movement or dance and the exploration of instruments to create our own musical adventure.  Educational themes through out the year consisting of but not limited to the Alphabet, Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Holidays and many more.  These classes will prepare your preschooler for Preschool/Kindergarten and for music education in the future.  Its an in home preschool/music setting.

My goal as a Piano and Preschool teacher is to have the students enjoy learning and creating music as its a part of our everyday life.
